Weekend Nursing Supervisor

The Nursing Supervisor oversees the nursing department in the DON’s absence. Coordinates admissions, transfers and /or discharges and ensures appropriate documentation. Assists in orientation of employees. Supervises and evaluates employees.

 

Qualified candidates will be a licensed LPN or RN and have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a nurse as well as experience in acute setting.

Dining Services Manager

Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center in Culpeper, Virginia is seeking an experienced individual who is certified by the Certifying Board of Dietary Managers to manage the operation of our Dining Services Department. We offer restaurant-style dining in addition to in-room dining, with the goal of providing a welcoming atmosphere for patients to enjoy nutritious meals while socializing with others.

The Dining Services Manager is responsible for overall management of the Dining Services Department including financial and personnel management, ensuring proper food-service operations, and adherence to regulations, as well as gathering nutrition information as part of the MDS/RAI process, and collaborating with the Registered Dietitian and the rest of the interdisciplinary team regarding nutritional care planning and other patient care initiatives.

Qualifications include Certification as a Certified Dietary Manager, or graduate of a Dietetic Technician program, or graduate of a 4-year program in Nutrition or related field, or Registered Dietitian. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Previous experience in health care food service preferred.

This position requires excellent communication skills, understanding of the hazards of institutional kitchen facilities and the ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs.

Staff Development Coordinator - RN

Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center in Culpeperis seeking an RN for our Staff Development Coordinator position.

 

The RN Staff Development Coordinator manages and provides required education to the entire staff and is also responsible for employee health.

 

Employee health encompasses administration and management of Hepatitis B vaccinations and PPD annual checks. Requires expert knowledge of basic nursing skills (patient assessment, infection control, IV therapy, medication administration, etc.) and a desire to pass that knowledge on to others.

 

The Staff Development Coordinator works closely with the HR manager to provide new hire orientation. The SDC evaluates the educational needs to ensure on-going continuing education and adherence to applicable required in-service education for all staff. Identifies, assesses, and implements in-service programs as needed regarding the satisfactory performance of clinical skills and knowledge.

Serves as Infection Control Nurse, reports infection control practices to Infection Control Officer and Administrator.

 

Qualified candidates must be a licensed RN, have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a nurse, and clinical training experience.

The ideal SDC candidate will have the qualifications to teach CNA classes however we will support them to achieve this educational goal upon hire.

What you'll do

  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).

  • Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.

  • Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.

  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.

  • Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and allay apprehension.

  • Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gage progress of the patient.

  • Maintains patients’ medical record on nursing observation and action taken, such as medications and treatments given, reactions, tests, intake, emission of liquids and solids, and vital signs.

  • Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.
